Brandi

Registered Veterinary Technologist

Brandi joined The Barn Door in 2023 and has been an RVT since 2016. Known for her problem-solving skills and compassionate care, she thrives on the variety each day brings. Outside the clinic, Brandi enjoys sports, family time on the Sunshine Coast, and caring for her senior pets—Tuxedo the dog, and cats Billy Jean and Weazley.

Shannon and Cinder

Shannon and Cinder

Veterinary Assistant

Shannon has had a lifelong passion for animal care, largely stemming from her childhood in southern California and frequent visits to the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Safari Park (though she'll always know it as the San Diego Wild Animal Park). She and her family have been permanent residents in Canada for over 15 years now, and after spending a few years working at pet stores and a hydrotherapy center for dogs, she became a certified Veterinary Assistant in 2015 through the West Coast College of Health Care and has been working in vet clinics ever since. Although she has experience working behind the scenes in exam rooms and treatment area, at Barn Door you're most likely to find her in reception; her favorite part is being able to greet the patients and spoil them before their appointments. When she's not working, she is often playing tourist in her own city through her private pet-sitting business, or at home with her family and dog Cinders and cat Ember.
