Platelet-Rich Plasma, or PRP, is a blood component containing concentrated amounts of platelets and growth factors. This is a trending treatment in human orthopedic medicine, used primarily to address sports-related injuries and wear-and-tear issues. This breakthrough technique uses your pets own blood plasma, including concentrated platelets that are activated. Platelets contain growth factors and bioactive proteins, which can facilitate tissue healing and reduce inflammation. Once activated, the healing properties of the proteins and growth factors become accelerated, offering an all-natural alternative to medications and steroids.
